Opening of hotel training course

On the morning of September 24, at Binh An Nhien Hotel (Ninh Binh city), the Provincial Tourism Association in collaboration with Ninh Binh Tourism College organized the opening ceremony of a hotel training course.

Attending were leaders of the Department of Tourism, Ninh Binh College of Tourism, the Provincial Tourism Association and 59 students who are employees and workers at accommodation establishments in the province.

In recent years, identifying tourism as playing an important role in the socio -economic development strategy, Ninh Binh province has synchronously implemented many solutions to develop tourism, striving to gradually turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector of the province.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the whole province welcomed nearly 7.3 million visitors, reaching 97.3% of the 2024 plan, the number of visitors to accommodation establishments is estimated at over 1,506.2 thousand, more than 1.5 times; the number of days visitors stay is estimated at over 1.7 million days, an increase of 34%. Tourism revenue in the province in the first 9 months is estimated at over 7,251 billion VND, an increase of 43% over the same period last year, reaching nearly 88% of the yearly plan.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 105/2023/NQ-HDND dated July 12, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on promulgating regulations on a number of policies to support tourism development in Ninh Binh province for the period 2023 - 2030, the Provincial Tourism Association coordinated with Hanoi College of Tourism to organize a hotel training course for 59 students who are employees and workers working at accommodation establishments in Ninh Binh province.

By participating in the course, students will be provided with basic knowledge of reception, restaurant, accommodation, and additional services. At the same time, they will be equipped with knowledge of tourism overview, psychology, communication skills, and situation handling in tourist service activities.

From there, students are able to take on well the positions of service staff in tourist areas, hotels, guesthouses, motels, restaurants, contributing to improving the quality of human resources of Ninh Binh tourism industry.

The training program will take place over a period of 4 months, including theoretical, practical and internship periods. At the end of the primary training course, students will be awarded a national vocational certificate, a condition for ranking hotels, tourist areas, etc.
