Opening of “Room to Read-supported Library – Family Reading Day” at Phuc Son Primary School

Room to Read has supported the construction of a library with 1,400 children's books, comics, science books and life skills books suitable for primary school age. In addition, the library is also equipped with a system of tables and chairs, bookshelves, carpets, and learning and decoration supplies worth about 30 million VND.

Room to Read is committed to accompanying the school in the coming years, ensuring that after 3 years, each student will have access to at least 5 new books, contributing to building a sustainable reading culture.

Delegates attended the opening ceremony of “Room to Read Supported Library – Family Reading Day” at Phuc Son Primary School.

The library not only opens up a rich store of knowledge for students, but also creates a friendly learning space, encourages them to form reading habits, develop self-study skills and creative thinking.

The program "Family Reading Day" is organized to strengthen the connection between family - school - society in building a reading culture. Through that, parents have the opportunity to better understand the role of reading in the comprehensive development of children.

The units presented flowers to congratulate the school on the occasion of the opening of the new library.

Many meaningful activities are organized to spread reading culture.

The school also organized the "Family Reading Together" exchange, displaying and introducing books and reading promotion games to spread reading culture to students, parents and people of Cau Thia ward.
