The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize the Lifelong Learning Week in 2025 to raise awareness among officials, civil servants, public employees, workers and people of all walks of life about the meaning of self-study and lifelong learning in the context of digital transformation and international integration.
Held from October 1 to October 7, the theme of Lifelong Learning Week 2025 is: "Learning to develop yourself, master knowledge and technology, contributing to building a strong and prosperous country".
Based on the 2025 theme and specific conditions of localities, the units will direct the implementation of the 2025 Week with appropriate, flexible and creative forms and contents, mobilizing maximum resources to organize effective activities.
Units focus on promoting propaganda about the role of self-study and lifelong learning associated with proactive mastery of knowledge and technology in press publications, television reports, mobile learning counseling stations, etc.
Organize seminars and forums with experts on technology trends, digital knowledge and effective learning methods. The propaganda should be linked to the UNESCO slogan: "Learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, learning to be".
Organize training courses to foster basic and advanced digital skills for all subjects, including: using online tools (electronic office, learning social network), exploiting open educational resources (OER), protecting personal information, identifying and preventing risks in cyberspace.
Mobilize businesses and educational organizations to coordinate in organizing consulting sessions and career experiences in the field of information technology, helping students practice digital skills in a real working environment.
Introduce and guide the use of online learning platforms, mobile applications and digital learning resources. Organize experience sessions using massive open online courses (MOOCs), e-books, lecture creation tools, virtual learning assistants, and knowledge data platforms.
Launch a movement to build digital libraries and digital bookcases in educational institutions and communities; encourage the use of shared electronic libraries. Promote the building of online learning communities through clubs, forums, and knowledge sharing networks.
Organize competitions and experiential activities on digital technology and new knowledge, such as: programming, digital content creation, robot design, artificial intelligence applications, data science , etc. Encourage the organization of programming competitions, technology practice and experience classes, and innovation forums.
Invite businesses to introduce job opportunities, share experiences and recruitment trends; invite local entrepreneurs and artisans to share stories of starting a business, self-studying, mastering technology, inspiring the community and providing career orientation for students and trainees at educational institutions.
The City People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to direct its educational institutions to organize appropriate, practical and effective activities in response to the Week. The People's Committees of wards and communes develop plans, organize the opening and implementation of the Week's activities, promote activities to realize the goals of the Project "Building a learning society in the period of 2021-2030" in the locality.
