Free medical examination and medicine for 200 elderly people in Dong Quan commune

On the occasion of the humanitarian month of 2023, on the morning of May 12, the Red Cross Society of Dong Hung district coordinated with the Red Cross Society of Dong Quan commune and a group of volunteer doctors to organize a program to examine, provide free medicine and give gifts to the elderly in difficult circumstances in the commune.

Doctors and nurses examined the health, prescribed and provided free medicine to 200 elderly people in difficult circumstances. In addition to initial diagnosis based on clinical symptoms of some diseases using methods such as: Ultrasound, blood pressure measurement, cardiovascular measurement, musculoskeletal and joint examination, rapid blood sugar test... doctors also advised and guided on knowledge and skills to prevent some common diseases often found in the elderly... On this occasion, the District Red Cross presented gifts to 10 elderly people in difficult circumstances.

During the humanitarian month of 2023, the Red Cross at all levels will examine and give free medicine to over 1,000 elderly people in difficult circumstances in a number of communes to promote the spirit of mutual love and solidarity for community health, and to provide better care for the elderly.
