At 12:35 on September 29, at the T2 International Terminal - Cam Ranh International Airport, the atmosphere became lively with the welcoming ceremony of flight number RA73850 of Nordwind Airlines. The event was organized by the Khanh Hoa Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center in coordination with relevant units, welcoming the airline's first Russian tourists back to the "land of Agarwood and the sea of ​​Yen" after nearly 5 years of interruption.

The welcoming ceremony was solemnly held with the participation of the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Timur Sadykov - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Abdullah Cankaya - Vice President of Pegas Touristik Asia Pacific . The first 20 passengers and flight crew received souvenirs, along with welcoming art performances, creating a friendly and hospitable impression right from the first moments.

With the enthusiastic welcome and care of Khanh Hoa province's leaders, we are very appreciative and also see the remarkable development of Khanh Hoa in recent times."

This event is of great significance, affirming the recovery of the Russian tourist market, which is a traditional source of high-spending visitors, contributing greatly to the local tourism industry. According to the plan, from October 2025, Nordwind Airlines will organize 18-22 flights per month, connecting Khanh Hoa with 8 major cities of Russia, expected to bring about 6,800 passengers per month.

The return of flights from Russia comes amid positive growth in Khanh Hoa tourism. In the first 9 months of 2025, the province welcomed more than 4.3 million international visitors, up 18.7% over the same period. In particular, in September 2025 alone, the number of international visitors made a strong breakthrough with an increase of 42.49%. Total tourism revenue for the first 9 months is estimated at over VND 56,540 billion, up 19.2% over the same period in 2024.

Through the event, Khanh Hoa tourism industry hopes to send a message about a safe, friendly and attractive destination, while strengthening cooperation to make tourism a spearhead economic sector, contributing to the realization of the province's double-digit economic growth target in the 2025 - 2030 period.
