Khanh Hoa continues to review 5 projects related to Phuc Son Group of Hau Phao

On April 5, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province requested relevant departments and units to inspect, review, and provide details of five projects and works occurring in the locality related to Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company (Phuc Son Company) and its members.

This move was made by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province at the request of the Department of Investigation Police on Crimes of Corruption, Economy , and Smuggling (C03) to coordinate in providing information and documents related to Phuc Son Company, of which Mr. Nguyen Van Hau (Hau Phao) is Chairman of the Board of Directors, who has just been prosecuted and detained to investigate the crime of violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences.

With the above document, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Transport, Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board, and related units to carry out this work.

The urban area invested by Phuc Son Company still has vacant land after nearly ten years.

5 projects must provide information and documents related to Phuc Son Company and its members, including: Flood drainage system from Phu Vinh bridge to the head of Tac river - Nha Trang; Nha Trang - Da Lat road phase 1; Nha Trang - Da Lat road phase 2; Phong Chau road and Cam Ranh International Airport.

This locality requires relevant units to check, review, and provide details of the total investment capital (clearly stating the central capital, local capital, investor capital, etc., specifically how much).

Decisions and documents related to investment funding for the above 5 projects must also be fully provided. The Provincial People's Committee requests the implementing units to report the results before 11:30 on April 16.

Previously, in mid-March, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province requested relevant departments and units to work with Phuc Son Company to inspect and review construction projects that the company was investing in or constructing in the area.

The purpose of this is to determine the continued investment and construction of Phuc Son Company for unfinished projects and difficulties and problems.

In Khanh Hoa, Phuc Son Company has been involved in many controversies related to the Nha Trang urban, commercial, service, financial, and tourism center project (the old Nha Trang airport). The land was allocated to this company but it has only built infrastructure. Khanh Hoa province has requested this company to pay more than 11,000 billion VND to the State budget, but the company has not yet fulfilled its financial obligations.

The above corporation was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to carry out 3 BT (build-transfer) projects on transportation. The projects have been implemented for many years, but have not yet been completed. In addition, the company is also the investor of two urban area projects, including: Phuc Khanh 1 and Phuc Khanh 2 in Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh District. After nearly 10 years, these two projects have not yet completed compensation and site clearance.
