On June 17, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Ministry of National Defense announced that it is investigating a criminal case of "Violating regulations on land management and fraudulent appropriation of property" occurring in Khanh Hoa province and several other localities related to the Nha Trang Trade - Service - Finance - Tourism Center Urban Area Project in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) invested by Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company (Tam Phuc Commune, Vinh Tuong District, Vinh Phuc ).

Investigation results determined that from 2016 to present, Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company, with defendant Nguyen Van Hau as Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director, has approved investment cooperation contracts and land use rights transfer contracts to collect more than 7,000 billion VND from customers.
To serve the investigation requirements of the case, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Ministry of National Defense requests that individuals who have paid money to Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company or related persons to sign investment cooperation contracts, land use rights transfer contracts, urgently contact the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Ministry of National Defense through investigator Hoang Thang Hung, phone number 0974015358; or at address 14A9 Ly Nam De, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, before July 10, 2025, to provide information and documents.
In addition to the violations in Nha Trang handled by the military investigation agency, Hau "cannon" was also prosecuted in a case investigated by the police agency and the Supreme People's Procuracy issued an indictment.
In this case, Nguyen Van Hau was accused of "violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" causing a loss of 504 billion VND; "violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" causing a loss of 459 billion VND; and "giving bribes" totaling 132 billion VND to 9 officials.
According to the prosecution agency, from 2010 to 2023, Hau and his accomplices committed the acts of "giving/receiving bribes", "taking advantage of positions and powers while performing official duties"; "violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences"; "violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences", "taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers for personal gain" in the provinces of Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho , Quang Ngai and Vinh Long, illegally profiting, causing a total loss of more than 1,168 billion VND to the State budget.
