Survey of tourism potential in Cau Ke district, Tra Vinh province

This is an activity in a series of events taking place at the "100 years of Tra Vinh wax coconut" Festival and Vu Lan Thang Hoi week in Cau Ke district in 2024.

The survey team visited the Wax Coconut Museum in Hamlet 2, Thanh Phu Commune to hear about and learn about the wax coconut tree, a famous specialty of the Southwest region of Cau Ke District. The deep-processed products of Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Company Limited are favored by domestic and foreign markets; in which the wax coconut fiber product - Vicosap achieved 5-star OCOP rating.

Next, the delegation went to burn incense at the Memorial Site of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Thi Ut (aka Ut Tich) in Ngoc Ho Hamlet, Tam Ngai Commune.

In Cau Ke town, the survey team admired the 100-year-old wax coconut tree at Botumsakor pagoda; visited Huynh Ky ancient house with unique architectural art that has existed for exactly 100 years.

The survey team took souvenir photos at the Memorial Site of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Thi Ut in Tam Ngai Commune, Cau Ke District.

Representatives of travel companies said that Cau Ke district is only about 30km from the center of Tra Vinh province, has a cool climate, fresh air, and many fruit specialties such as wax coconut, rambutan, and mangosteen.

This is also a land rich in revolutionary tradition; with Vu Lan Thang Hoi festival, a national intangible cultural heritage, and other unique architectural and artistic works, it is a strength for Cau Ke district to develop eco-tourism and cultural tourism.
