Construction of Thuong Cat Bridge across the Red River began

On October 8, the Hanoi People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Thuong Cat Bridge across the Red River. The investment goal is to gradually complete the transport infrastructure system, promoting the socio-economic development of the capital in general and the region in particular.

The bridge has a total investment of 7,302 billion VND (budget money), the investor implementing the Thuong Cat bridge project is the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board; the consulting unit organizing the project is the Joint Venture of Transport Design Consulting Corporation - JSC and Lap Phuong Architecture Joint Stock Company.

The construction period of Thuong Cat Bridge is from 2025 to 2027. Up to now, Hanoi has 11 bridges across the Red River that have been and are being built, of which 9 bridges have been put into use and 2 bridges are under construction. The 9 bridges that have been built include: Thang Long, Chuong Duong, Vinh Tuy phase 1 and phase 2, Thanh Tri, Nhat Tan, Vinh Thinh, Long Bien, Van Lang; 2 bridges that started construction this year and are under construction are Tu Lien bridge and Ngoc Hoi bridge.
