On the afternoon of August 28, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police announced that it had served the decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a temporary detention order for Ho Quoc Trung (So), born in 1989, residing in Tan Phuoc Hamlet, Cu Lao Gieng Commune (An Giang Province) for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.

According to information from the investigation agency, previously, through the work of managing the area and receiving information from the people at the house in group 14, Tan Phuoc hamlet, Cu Lao Gieng commune, suspecting that there were a number of subjects engaging in drug-related crimes, the commune police quickly went to the scene to check.

When the Cu Lao Gieng Commune Police arrived at the scene, they discovered Ho Quoc Trung in the house. Upon searching Trung, the task force seized several pieces of plastic pipe and sealed nylon bags containing methamphetamine inside.

During the search of the residence, Cu Lao Gieng Commune Police continued to seize 1 more nylon bag containing methamphetamine, 1 electronic scale and many other related items; the total weight of methamphetamine was about 47.9224 grams.

During the investigation, Ho Quoc Trung confessed to buying the above amount of crystal meth from a stranger in Long Xuyen ward, dividing it into small portions to resell to addicts for profit.
