No interruption of industrial production

Storm No. 11 caused heavy rain and flooding in many localities in Thai Nguyen province, affecting people's lives and economic activities. However, thanks to the early and synchronous implementation of response plans, effective drainage and infrastructure safety assurance, production activities in the province's industrial parks (IPs) remained stable and uninterrupted. This contributed to maintaining production progress and ensuring the supply chain for domestic and foreign partners.

Industrial parks in Thai Nguyen province are all planned in high locations, with synchronous infrastructure and drainage systems. Therefore, production activities at enterprises are still maintained stably during the days of floods.

Proactive response at the highest level

During the recent flood, the factory of Kien Dat Company Limited (Nam Pho Yen Industrial Park) was flooded, but due to the proactive measures taken in advance: all goods, raw materials and important machinery were moved to a safe area. Therefore, production activities were not much affected. Just a few hours after the flood receded, workers quickly returned to work, the production line was restored, ensuring stable business operations.

Ms. Le Thi Binh, Production Manager of Kien Dat Co., Ltd., said: Thanks to strictly implementing the instructions of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board on proactive prevention and response at the highest level, the enterprise has minimized the damage. Production activities were almost uninterrupted, during the time Thai Nguyen was affected by natural disasters, the company still maintained stable production and ensured order progress.

At Han Viet Aluminum Joint Stock Company (Diem Thuy Industrial Park), although the factory was not flooded, heavy rain caused local power outages and temporary traffic disruptions.

Faced with that situation, the company flexibly let workers take a break to ensure safety, and at the same time coordinated with the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to urgently fix the problem. After 8 hours of effort, the production power system was restored; the next morning, all workers returned to work, and production activities stabilized again.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Ahn Huisun, Production Director of Han Viet Aluminum Company, said: Because the factory is located in a high area and has a good drainage system, the company did not suffer significant damage during the recent floods. After overcoming the power outage, all production activities have returned to normal, and orders are still being delivered on schedule. Currently, the company is striving to achieve its growth target of 10% this year.

Continue to be a safe, stable and sustainable destination

Currently, in Thai Nguyen province, there are 6 industrial parks in operation, with 350 enterprises, including 188 foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises and 162 domestic enterprises.

According to the review of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, most of the enterprises in the industrial parks were not directly affected by the recent floods; production and business activities were maintained stably. The rate of workers coming to work reached over 90%, only a few cases were temporarily absent due to flooded residential areas or temporary traffic disruption.

Production activities at Kien Dat Company Limited (Nam Pho Yen Industrial Park) were maintained normally during the days when Thai Nguyen was affected by floods.

Mr. Nguyen The Hoan, Acting Head of the Industrial Park Management Board of Thai Nguyen province, said: Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Industrial Park Management Board has fully and seriously deployed measures to respond to storm No. 11 and the heavy rain, flooding, and landslides after the storm to infrastructure investors, businesses and related units, in order to ensure safety of life and minimize property damage.

The Provincial Industrial Park Management Board assigned leaders and specialized departments to be on duty 24/7 to promptly grasp the situation, support businesses in troubleshooting and maintaining production activities in adverse weather conditions.

According to monitoring results and statistics from industrial parks, storm No. 11 and the storm's circulation did not cause any human damage in enterprises. However, due to prolonged rain with heavy rainfall, on October 7, local flooding occurred on some traffic routes, affecting the movement of workers. At Nam Pho Yen Industrial Park - Area C, water flooded into the factories of some companies on the night of October 7, but did not cause significant damage.

Production activities at Minh Hang Plastic Company Limited (Nam Pho Yen Industrial Park) took place normally during the rainy and flooded days.

In fact, the industrial parks in the province are planned in high positions, with synchronous technical infrastructure and drainage systems. Thanks to that, despite extreme weather, the production activities of enterprises remain stable. Thai Nguyen is an important location in the global supply chain, so maintaining continuous production is of great significance not only for workers and enterprises, but also for the entire economy .

The proactiveness of enterprises, together with the synchronous and systematic investment in industrial park infrastructure, has helped Thai Nguyen's industrial parks respond effectively to natural disasters. Amidst historic floods, factories are still lit up, production lines are still operating stably, clearly demonstrating the adaptability and sense of responsibility of enterprises, while continuing to affirm Thai Nguyen as a safe, stable and sustainable destination for investors.

There are currently 6 industrial parks in operation in Thai Nguyen province, including: Yen Binh, Diem Thuy, Nam Pho Yen; Song Cong 1; Song Cong 2 and Thanh Binh. As of October 2025, the industrial parks have attracted 350 investment projects, including 188 FDI projects with a total capital of over 11 billion USD; 162 DDI projects with a total capital of over 47.4 billion VND.

Since the beginning of the year, the revenue of enterprises in the province's industrial parks has reached an estimated 23.75 billion USD; export value is estimated at 22.2 billion USD; budget contribution is estimated at over 5,978 billion VND; creating new jobs for 12,117 workers...
