On November 10, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province Le Van Dung and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province attended the National Great Unity Day at Thai Son residential area, Dien Tien commune, Dien Ban town.
At the Festival, Mr. Tran Da, Head of the Thai Son Village Front Committee, said that the entire village currently has 429 households/1,391 people, divided into 16 solidarity groups. Last year, the Village Front Committee continued to deploy solutions to implement 6 key programs, 3 breakthrough tasks and 5 innovative contents, achieving many positive results, contributing to the commune's successful completion of assigned political tasks.
Currently, the majority of young workers work in companies and factories in Da Nang city and industrial clusters in Dien Ban town; people actively build economic models, build civilized villages, unite to build new rural areas, and ensure order and security in the village.
As of November 2024, the poverty rate of Thai Son village is only over 0.4%; the near-poor household rate is nearly 2.1%. The whole village has 95.3% of households recognized as cultural families, 5 outstanding solidarity groups and 16 outstanding families are commended and rewarded, 2 clans have achieved cultural clan for 3 consecutive years.
Speaking at the festival, Mr. Le Van Dung said he was very happy to see the Thai Son community always promoting the great national unity. That spirit has strongly contributed to the local development in recent years.
In particular, the outstanding results of the Thai Son village community in responding to the implementation of 5 emulation contents launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, creating opportunities for people to escape poverty, stabilize the population, and build an increasingly developed life.
“Many elderly men, women and young people of the village happily and excitedly attended the Great Unity Festival, which shows that the Festival has a very important meaning in the local community, especially after a year of efforts to build and develop the homeland,” said Mr. Le Van Dung.
On this occasion, Mr. Le Van Dung presented 2 Great Unity houses, each worth 60 million VND to 2 extremely disadvantaged households; and also presented 10 gifts to encourage poor households in Thai Son village. The Dien Ban town government and Dien Tien commune People's Committee also presented many gifts and certificates of merit to many households with outstanding achievements in the movement to build great unity and develop the local economy and society in recent times.
