Press conference on the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030

(gialai.gov.vn) – On the morning of October 1, Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee held a press conference to inform about the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030. Chairing the press conference were comrades: Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending the press conference were leaders of agencies, staff assisting the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of relevant departments and branches.

The 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 will take place in 03 days from October 2 to October 4, 2025 at the Provincial Convention Center (01 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Quy Nhon Ward, Gia Lai Province). In which, the preparatory session takes place at 14:30 on October 2, 2025; the official session starts at 07:30 on October 3, 2025.

This Congress will focus on the following contents: Summarizing the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; determining the directions, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term and discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress. Notably, this Congress will not elect a new Party Committee and a Delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Politburo will appoint the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary, the Deputy Provincial Party Secretary, the Inspection Committee, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term and appoint the Provincial Party Delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

According to information from the press conference, over the past time, preparations for the provincial congress have been carefully prepared. The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee have issued decisions to establish subcommittees including: Personnel Subcommittee, Content Subcommittee and Service Subcommittee. The subcommittees have developed plans, assigned specific tasks to organizations and individuals, and determined the progress of implementation for each work content.

On August 25, 2025, at the Party Central Office, Comrade Luong Cuong - Politburo member, President chaired a working session with the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee to give opinions on the draft documents and personnel plan to be submitted to the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Based on the instructions at the conclusion of the working session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has received, supplemented and completed the documents to be submitted to the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Up to now, all preparations for the Congress have been basically completed. The work of developing the personnel plan has been carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations. Propaganda, decoration and celebration work has been actively carried out.

The 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, had 450 official delegates attending (including 60 ex-officio delegates and 390 appointed delegates) representing 139 party committees under the Provincial Party Committee with more than 147,000 party members. Of the total 450 official delegates attending the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, there were 109 female delegates (accounting for 24.22%); 58 delegates were ethnic minorities (accounting for 12.89%).

Speaking at the press conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung affirmed: This Congress has special political significance. This is not only an important milestone, marking the beginning of a new term but also demonstrates the Party Committee's aspiration and will to rise up in building orientations, guidelines and policies to promote Gia Lai province to develop more and more, bringing a better life to the people in the province.

Comrade Rah Lan Chung added that the motto of the Congress is: " Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development " . This motto fully encompasses the orientations and aspirations of the Provincial Party Executive Committee in building a united, clean, and strong Party organization in all aspects; at the same time, promoting socio-economic development, promoting cultural traditions and ensuring national defense and security of Gia Lai province.

In that spirit, he requested reporters of news agencies and newspapers to do a good job of propaganda before, during and after the Congress; proactively research and thoroughly exploit the new directions and points in the Congress documents to build quality press works that spread widely to the people in the province.
