Pu Luong tourist area is ready to welcome tourists during the holidays.

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, Pu Luong Tourist Area (Ba Thuoc) is expected to welcome about 62,200 visitors, of which international visitors account for about 25%.

In order to welcome and serve tourists to tourist areas in Ba Thuoc district thoughtfully and safely, the district People's Committee has directed the People's Committees of communes and towns; Management Boards of tourist areas and spots, and tourism businesses in the area to ensure the necessary conditions. Strengthen the implementation of security, safety, and flexibility measures for tourists; check and ensure good fire prevention and fighting work; ensure food hygiene and safety.

In addition, the district assigned functional forces to deploy traffic diversion plans, arrange and manage sales and vehicle parking services.

The work of collecting, treating waste, and beautifying the landscape at tourist areas is coordinated by mass organizations. Communes in the tourist areas focus on upgrading and perfecting the infrastructure to meet standards to serve tourists.

Relevant functional sectors should strengthen inspection and control activities to ensure compliance with legal regulations on prices, comply with regulations on registration, public price posting and selling at the listed price, and prevent the hoarding of hotel rooms and tourism services, causing price fever, negatively affecting the local tourism image.

To prepare well for the 2024 tourist season, tourism businesses, tourist areas and attractions in the district have also stepped up the renovation of premises, investment, upgrading, maintenance, and repair of equipment, and supplemented and arranged appropriate human resources to meet the needs of serving tourists.

At the same time, ensure security and order, fire and explosion prevention and control; carefully prepare conditions for tourism technical facilities and food, provide full tourism services to meet tourists' needs; maintain clean and beautiful landscape and environment, and have a civilized attitude towards tourists.

Ba Thuoc district promotes association and cooperation activities; promotes and advertises the district's tourist areas and spots to connect tours, actively bringing tourists to Pu Luong and Ba Thuoc. Propagates and guides tourists to strictly comply with the law on traffic order and safety during their travels. Local art troupes prepare the most outstanding performances ready to exchange art activities with tourists.

Mr. Ha Nam Khanh, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Ba Thuoc district, said: Currently, there are 105 accommodation establishments in the district. Of which, homestay and resort accommodation establishments in Pu Luong tourist area are concentrated in Thanh Lam, Thanh Son and Co Lung communes, with 85 establishments with 125 stilt houses, 198 bungalows, 298 rooms, 966 beds. The capacity to receive guests is about 3,200 guests/day/night. Accommodation service businesses currently provide regular jobs for 420 local workers and create jobs for more than 300 part-time workers. To serve tourists who come to visit, experience and relax during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, tourist areas and accommodation facilities in the area have renovated their premises, repaired rooms, prepared food sources, and prepared conditions to welcome tourists to Pu Luong to experience and explore.

Also according to the representative of the People's Committee of Ba Thuoc district, it is expected that during the 5-day holiday, the number of tourists coming to Pu Luong will reach about 62,200, of which international visitors will account for about 25%.
