According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 21, analysis of satellite cloud images and weather radar images showed that convective clouds were developing from the North and causing rain in the districts of Hoai Duc, Me Linh, and Soc Son of Hanoi.

From 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on June 21, this convective cloud area will continue to develop, causing rain, showers and possibly thunderstorms in the above districts, then possibly expanding to other inner-city areas of Hanoi; during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The risk level of natural disasters due to tornadoes, lightning and hail is level 1.

According to meteorologists, in the summer, thunderstorms often appear in the late afternoon, after a hot day. Thunderstorms are formed by very strong convection in the atmosphere, appearing for a short time but often accompanied by extreme weather phenomena such as strong gusts of wind, very heavy rain, even hail and tornadoes. These phenomena are very dangerous, especially for people who are outdoors during this time.

Forecast for the day and night of June 21: The Northwest region is cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning, followed by hot weather, with hot and extremely hot weather in Hoa Binh ; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with moderate to heavy rain in some areas; thunderstorms are likely to have tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The lowest temperature is 25-28 degrees Celsius; some places are below 24 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature is 34-37 degrees Celsius; Hoa Binh is 36-38 degrees Celsius.

In the Northeast, it is cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning, followed by hot weather, with some places experiencing intense heat, especially in the plains; in the evening and at night, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain; in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind. South wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 26-29 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 34-37 degrees Celsius, with some places experiencing over 37 degrees Celsius; in the plains, 35-38 degrees Celsius, with some places experiencing over 38 degrees Celsius.

Southwest wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 26-29 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature in the North 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places above 38 degrees Celsius; in the South 32-35 degrees Celsius.

The Central Highlands and the South will be cloudy, sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, and showers and thunderstorms in some places at night; there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Southwest wind level 2-3. The Central Highlands will have the lowest temperature of 22-25 degrees Celsius; the highest of 30-33 degrees Celsius. The South will have the lowest temperature of 25-28 degrees Celsius; the highest of 32-35 degrees Celsius./.
