Checking and handling seafood restaurants 'copying' famous brands in Nha Trang

The working group of Nha Trang ward (Khanh Hoa) inspected Thanh Suong seafood restaurant at 102 Tran Phu after reporting about unclear brand names and discovered many violations.

On July 26, the leader of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee said that the ward's inspection team inspected Thanh Suong seafood business (No. 102 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward) after receiving complaints from tourists about the restaurant showing signs of "impersonating" Thanh Suong restaurant (a famous seafood restaurant in Nha Trang).

At the time of inspection, the owner of Thanh Suong restaurant was absent.

The working group noted that Thanh Suong restaurant did not hang all the issued signs; the certificate of food safety training did not fully reflect the number of employees.

The restaurant has not yet presented fire prevention and fighting records; fire prevention and fighting regulations and orders; the fire extinguisher is damaged and cannot be used.

The interdisciplinary inspection team determined that the facility showed signs of deceiving or confusing consumers by providing false, incomplete and inaccurate information as prescribed.

In addition, Thanh Suong facility still owes tax and late payment fees totaling more than 61 million VND.

After the inspection, the delegation will review information and violations of Thanh Suong seafood restaurant to serve as a basis for handling violations.

The leader of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee said that the ward government always creates favorable conditions for people and businesses to do business honestly, but is determined to handle businesses that operate opportunistically and deceive customers, to preserve the local tourism image.

In the coming time, Nha Trang ward will continue to inspect and handle businesses that do not post prices and show signs of "ripping off" tourists.
