
At the Conference, the decision of the Central Party Secretariat to appoint 2 comrades to join the Executive Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was announced. Specifically, Colonel Le Van Son, Commander of the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command (in Decision No. 1101-QDNS/TW, dated January 24); Comrade Tran Thanh Hung, Deputy Head of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee (in Decision No. 1134-QDNS/TW, dated February 2) were appointed to join the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
After announcing the above decisions, the Conference carried out the process of introducing and electing members of the Standing Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, term XIV, 2020 - 2025. Colonel Le Van Son, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025 with an absolute number of votes of 45/45 delegates attending. Thereby, 16/16 members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee were completed.

Taking on the new responsibility, Colonel Le Van Son thanked the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee for their trust. He promised to try to learn, improve, make efforts, and be ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks.
Speaking at the Conference, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The selection of comrades with the highest capacity, qualities, and intelligence, to complete and supplement the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee contributes to strengthening the direct, comprehensive, regular, and continuous leadership of the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee over agencies and units with important positions and fields that the Personnel Plan of the Provincial Party Congress has approved.

He hoped that comrades Tran Thanh Hung and Le Van Son, with the highest sense of responsibility, would continue to fulfill their assigned tasks in their assigned positions. In addition to their professional fields, with their new responsibilities, they have both the responsibility and the right to take charge of all areas, to give opinions, contribute, and participate in leadership and direction, and together with the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, fulfill their highest responsibilities.
