
At Studio S1, the Army Radio and Television Center organized a special art program "Half a century of rising on the waves" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the People's Army Television Traditional Day (September 20, 1975 - September 20, 2025).
Attending and giving directions were General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Attending the program were Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; Comrade Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Comrade Le Quyen, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television; Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

After 50 years of formation and development, from the People's Army Television Department under the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics, the Army Radio and Television Center has now become the main, multimedia, modern press agency of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense .
From 100 minutes per week broadcast on Vietnam Television to Vietnam National Defense Television Channel broadcasting 24/7, with more than 10 new broadcast hours per day, nearly 50 programs, 13 news bulletins per day in three languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese.
From simple black and white films to modern television, affirming the position of an essential national television channel with useful information, Vietnam National Defense Television determines its content to be different, all information from military , defense to culture, entertainment, economy are presented through the lens, perspective and pen of journalists wearing military uniforms.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Trinh Van Quyet acknowledged and praised the important contributions of generations of cadres, reporters and editors of the People's Army Television over the past 50 years. The programs of the Army Television have been constantly innovated, deeply reflecting the life, fighting, studying and working of cadres and soldiers of the entire army, contributing to spreading the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people.


General Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that in the context of strong media development, the Center needs to continue to innovate content and expression methods, master modern technology, and be worthy of being the main and trusted press agency of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.


At the program, special art performances such as "Commands from the heart", "Marks of maturity", "Song of Vietnam National Defense Television"... vividly recreated the 50-year journey of formation and development of the People's Army Television to the modern Vietnam National Defense Television channel today.
Entering a new stage, with the aspiration to reach far, Vietnam National Defense Television continues to affirm its position - as the voice of the new-age soldier, as the bridge connecting the Army with the people, continuing the glorious journey called Vietnam National Defense.
