According to the schedule, at 9:00 a.m. this morning (October 23), at the National Assembly House, Hanoi, under the chairmanship of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly will officially open.
The session is divided into two phases: Phase 1 is 15 days, from October 23 to November 10, 2023; Phase 2 is 7.5 days, from November 20 to the morning of November 29, 2023. To prepare for this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee has directed the National Assembly agencies and the National Assembly Secretary General to carefully prepare the content, program and conditions to ensure the effective organization of the session.
Accordingly, at the 6th Session, the 15th National Assembly carried out a huge amount of work, reviewing and approving many important contents related to legislation, supervision and deciding on important issues of the country.

Before the Session, assessing the contents that will be considered and approved at this Session, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, said: The 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly is a Session that marks the mid-term milestone, and is of great significance in assessing the implementation of the 5-year and annual plans. "We see that the National Assembly at this Session will carry out a very large amount of work, many important and urgent contents that directly affect the country's socio-economic development and people's lives, requiring high requirements on quality and progress, contributing to ensuring the basic completion of the tasks of the 15th term", said Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, Bui Hoai Son.
National Assembly Delegate Bui Hoai Son said that, as planned, at the 6th Session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 9 draft laws, including: Land Law (amended); Real Estate Business Law (amended); Housing Law (amended); Water Resources Law (amended); Telecommunications Law (amended); Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level; Identity Card Law; Law on Credit Institutions (amended). The National Assembly will also consider and pass 1 draft resolution: Resolution on piloting a number of mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles stipulated in a number of laws related to investment in the construction of road traffic works.

In addition, the National Assembly will consider and comment on eight draft laws, including: Law on Social Insurance (amended); Law on Archives (amended); Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on the Capital (amended); Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction.
At the same time, in reviewing and deciding on socio-economic issues, the National Assembly will evaluate the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2023 and review and decide on the socio-economic development plan, the state budget estimate, and the central budget allocation plan in 2024 (including reviewing the implementation of the state budget public investment plan in 2023 and deciding on the state budget public investment plan in 2024; reviewing the 3-year state budget-finance plan for 2024-2026). Reviewing mid-term assessment reports: Results of the implementation of the 5-year plans for the period 2021-2025 on socio-economic development, economic restructuring, medium-term public investment, national finance and borrowing and public debt repayment.

Regarding supervision work, the National Assembly will also conduct questioning and answer questions from National Assembly deputies on the responsibilities of Government members and heads of sectors in implementing a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly on thematic supervision, questioning and resolutions of the National Assembly on thematic supervision, questioning from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th session...
In particular, during this Session, the National Assembly will conduct the important task of taking a vote of confidence for the person holding the position elected or approved by the National Assembly.
