The shooting in Baltimore once again sounded the alarm about the increasing illegal possession and use of guns and ammunition in the US.

In the early morning of July 2 (local time), a shooting took place at a street party in Baltimore, Maryland (USA). The incident left at least 2 people dead and 28 others injured. Of the injured, 9 were taken to the hospital and 3 are in critical condition.
According to Baltimore police, the force received a series of calls at 0:30 local time (11:30 Vietnam time) on July 2 from the 800 block of Gretna Avenue, South Baltimore. Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered a woman's body and nine others with gunshot wounds.
There is no information yet on the suspect or motive for the attack. According to Baltimore Police Acting Commissioner Richard Worley, investigators are “working hard at the crime scene.”
For his part, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott condemned the shooting as “a reckless, cowardly act that took two lives and forever changed the lives of many others.”
“This event has highlighted the impact and the need to address the growing presence of illegal weapons on the streets, including in the hands of those who should not have them,” he said.
The official also affirmed that all available resources are being mobilized to support the investigation. The Baltimore Mayor emphasized: "We will not stop until we find them. We will find them."
