At the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Intrepid Vietnam on the evening of September 27 in Hanoi, Mr. Geoff Manchester, co-founder of Intrepid Travel Group (Australia), said that over the past 20 years, the unit has welcomed tourists from all over the world to Vietnam, bringing rich cultural experiences about the heritage and natural beauty of the "S-shaped" land. In 2024 alone, nearly 30,000 tourists from Australia and New Zealand came to experience Vietnam.

Intrepid currently has about 23 products that are deeply rooted in the identity of the Vietnamese destination to serve the needs and interests of Australian and international tourists to learn and explore . In addition, an extensive network of partnerships with more than 500 local suppliers and non-profit organizations such as the Blue Dragon Children's Fund, the Vun Art Cooperative and Save Vietnam's Wildlife demonstrates the company's commitment to ensuring that tourism will create a lasting impact on the community and environment in Vietnam.

Ms. Natalie Kidd, Managing Director Asia and Global CEO of Intrepid Travel, said: “Vietnam is one of the most popular destinations globally. The sustained growth of tourism in Vietnam over the past 20 years reflects not only a long-term commitment, but also a shared vision with local partners to develop sustainable, goal-oriented and meaningful tourism in the years to come.

According to the Australian Government's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, Vietnam is one of its key economic partners, offering many opportunities for Australian investment in areas such as tourism.

Vietnam is currently the fastest growing international tourist market to Australia. In 2024, about 173,000 Vietnamese tourists will visit Australia - an increase of 40% compared to before the Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam is also a favorite destination for Australians.

Also in 2024, approximately 437,000 Australians visited Vietnam, making Vietnam the ninth most popular tourist destination for Australians. These figures reflect the growing demand for tourism exchanges between the two countries, and also demonstrate the increasingly important role of tourism as a pillar in the bilateral relationship between Australia and Vietnam.

In early October, there will be a roadshow to introduce Vietnam tourism in Sydney and Melbourne. Intrepid is the bridge to bring Australian visitors to Vietnam, conveying the message of a beautiful and attractive Vietnam to Australian tourists,” Mr. Sieu expressed.
