Lang Son won many high prizes at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival

From December 13 to 16, in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, the 2024 Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival took place with the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups with equality, solidarity, respect, integration and development for a peaceful world". The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

The performance won A prize with the performance of ethnic costumes of Nung Cum Cot and Dao Lu Gang of Lang Son province.

At this year's festival, Lang Son delegation participated in 7 events and won 10 awards (including 3 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 1 third prize for the whole delegation's sports). Specifically, 3 A prizes include: Then Nung excerpt "Khau tam co lum - Vao Tram cay da" in the Mass Arts Festival; Performance of Nung ethnic costumes Cum Cot and Dao Lu Gang in the Traditional Ethnic Costume Performance; Community Tourism Skills Performance.

The performance won the A prize, the excerpt from Then Nung "Khau tam co lum - Vao Tram cay da" of Lang Son province, part of the Mass Arts Festival.

The three B prizes include: Pa Dung singing performance of the Dao ethnic group; an excerpt of the Dao ethnic harvest praying ritual in the Mass Arts Festival; a booth displaying, introducing and preparing traditional cuisine. The three C prizes include: Pi Le trumpet performance "Excerpt from the Dao ethnic wedding celebration" in the Mass Arts Festival; performance and introduction of excerpts from the Dao Lu Gang coming of age and ordination ceremony; and a space displaying the province's traditional ethnic culture.

The performance won B prize, an excerpt from the Dao ethnic group's harvest prayer ritual of Lang Son province, part of the Mass Arts Festival.

It is known that the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival in Quang Tri province in 2024 brings together 16 provinces and cities to participate: Bac Giang, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Vinh Phuc and Quang Tri.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Cultural Center and members of the Lang Son delegation took souvenir photos at the exhibition booth of the province's traditional ethnic cultural space.

The festival not only has the meaning of a cultural event, but more importantly, it is also an opportunity for cultural subjects, artisans, actors, and mass athletes of all ethnic groups to participate in exchanges, share experiences, and introduce the beauty of their own culture. Thereby, spreading the pride and sense of responsibility of each person and each community in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in the period of integration and development of the country.
