Lang Son: Launching support for the Cuban people

On the afternoon of September 18, the People's Committee of Lang Son province organized a program to support the Cuban people, mobilizing cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, organizations and individuals to join hands to support the Cuban people to overcome difficulties caused by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters and global economic fluctuations.

Colonel Trieu Tuan Hai, Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Police, presented the amount of money to support the Cuban people from the Provincial Police.

This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025).

At the program, representatives of agencies, units, businesses, and many individuals in the province presented support signs, transferred money, and directly supported the Cuban people with nearly 1 billion VND. The People's Committee of Lang Son province said that from September 18 to October 16, all contributions from organizations and individuals will continue to be sent directly to the Provincial Red Cross Society (address: No. 4 Tran Hung Dao Street, Luong Van Tri Ward) or transferred to account 3510 192 190 at the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development ( BIDV ) Lang Son branch - account holder is the Lang Son Provincial Red Cross Society with the transfer content: UH CUBA.

Permanent Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Duong Xuan Huyen said that 2025 is the "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year", the friendship, solidarity, especially the loyal and steadfast relationship, a shining symbol of international solidarity between the two nations with the same ideals of independence, freedom and socialism. Since 1960, when Vietnam was still in the war of national liberation, Cuba pioneered in establishing diplomatic relations, leading international movements to support Vietnam's struggle and national construction. The immortal saying of Leader Fidel Castro: "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice even its blood" is forever engraved in the hearts of generations of Vietnamese people, becoming a vivid proof of the pure and loyal affection between the two brotherly nations.

Lang Son Provincial Military Command supports the Cuban people.

Currently, the Cuban people, especially children, the elderly and vulnerable groups, are facing many difficulties due to the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters. Promoting the tradition of solidarity with the spirit of "sharing food and clothes", responding to the call of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to mobilize support for the Cuban people, the Provincial People's Committee calls on agencies, departments, branches, socio-political organizations, and all people to actively respond, participate in supporting and helping the Cuban people overcome difficulties.

Colonel Trieu Tuan Hai, Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Police, said that this is a meaningful activity, not only supporting and helping the Cuban people, but also promoting the spirit of "Mutual love" of officers and soldiers in the whole industry. After a period of responding to the call of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police have supported and transferred to the Provincial Red Cross Society a total amount of over 330 million VND.
