Leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association visited and worked with the Lao Dong Newspaper

The delegation visited and listened to a presentation about the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space project at the Lao Dong Newspaper. The Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space was inaugurated on July 28, 2023, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of the Lao Dong Newspaper.

Journalist - Dr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, said that the project is not only a place to display images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh, but also a place for Party activities, a place for Party admission, and a place to return to the source... In the coming time, the project will apply high technology to enrich information and documents about Uncle Ho.

Leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and FPT Corporation also spent time discussing and exchanging with the Lao Dong Newspaper about digital transformation of journalism.

Journalist Duong Quang, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao Dong Newspaper, said that up to now, the digital transformation process of the newspaper has achieved initial results. For example, the administrative work of the Editorial Department has been almost completely digitized; social media channels and publishing platforms are increasingly perfected and operating well. The newspaper has also applied a comprehensive "Paperless Editorial" model, including: OneDrive application, Incopy software... to make printed newspapers; using AI (artificial intelligence) for electronic newspapers; launching a Podcast channel on electronic newspapers.

The Lao Dong Newspaper has been a pioneer among daily newspapers in Vietnam and a pioneer in the Southern newspaper "village" to charge for reading electronic newspapers with the column FOR VIP READERS. After more than 13 months of operation, there have been about 19,000 accounts registered to read newspapers in this column.
