Proud to participate in this important event
On September 10, the shift of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hanh, a guide at the City Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition, and her colleagues started at 8:00 a.m. In the colorful royal poinciana ao dai, the guides patiently welcomed guests from the entrance of the indoor exhibition area of Hai Phong in hall 7 of the Kim Quy building, National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ), leading the story of Hai Phong from the past to the present.
“After one tour group finishes, another group follows, there is almost no time to rest. I have to keep my voice warm all the time, sometimes it gets hoarse by evening, but I am happy to see everyone listening attentively,” Ms. Hanh shared.

Behind the friendly smile are tired shoulders and dry throats after dozens of presentations. The job seems simple but is actually a "voice endurance race", requiring endurance and high concentration. And it is even more difficult when Hai Phong's exhibition space is not only limited to an indoor exhibition area of 375 m², but also has nearly 10,000 m² outdoors, where staff must move continuously to guide and support visitors.
Previously, during the exhibition opening ceremony on August 28, reporter Minh Khue (Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television) had a "two-in-one" shift - taking on the role of MC to introduce the indoor exhibition area of Hai Phong, and immediately working and editing the news to send to the Editorial Board.
“After the opening ceremony, without any rest, I immediately started editing the news to make it on time for broadcast. I was under pressure to host the program and worried about the news being quick and accurate. But I was also proud to be directly involved in promoting Hai Phong’s image in this important event,” reporter Minh Khue recalled.

Not only the presenter Tuyet Hanh, or reporter Minh Khue, many officers and employees of the Hai Phong culture, sports and tourism sector, and reporters from Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television are constantly on duty every day at the exhibition area. Working in a large space, crowded with people, moving from the outdoor area to the indoor area or vice versa is already a challenge. For reporters, there is also the burden of carrying equipment, writing articles, setting up on the spot and connecting data to the editorial office.
Spreading the beauty of Hai Phong people
To maintain the attraction of the exhibition area for more than half a month (August 28 - September 15), the city has arranged many shifts to take turns, including officials from departments, branches, press and cultural units. Each shift is a stressful cycle: narrator, MC, news writer, light and sound controller. All must coordinate smoothly to ensure the exhibition area always operates smoothly and attractively.

Since September 8, free buses carrying thousands of Hai Phong residents to visit the exhibition have started to roll out, increasing the pressure on the task force. Cultural officers, Youth Union, reporters, and tour guides work like shuttles, following each convoy, organizing instructions, promptly recording and writing articles, ensuring that all visitors have a good experience and that the image is spread promptly.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau especially emphasized: the guide and interpreter department needs to be arranged scientifically, receive attentively, promptly grasp the needs of visitors to explain and guide, not let visitors just visit passively. The staff's uniform must be highly recognizable and professional, contributing to creating a modern and hospitable image for the Port City.
Following that instruction, the female tour guides unanimously chose the royal poinciana ao dai - the flower closely associated with Hai Phong. The bright red color not only brightened up the display space, but also created a strong visual impression, making it easy for visitors to recognize and feel the closeness and friendliness.

In addition to the commentary team, reporters, editors, and press and television technicians also work hard. News, articles, and reports must promptly convey the event atmosphere to Hai Phong, thereby spreading the attraction of the exhibition booth to the public. Meanwhile, the technical team is quietly on duty to ensure the lighting, screen, and sound systems operate stably.
That coordination is like a machine that operates continuously and rhythmically. Each person, each job, no matter how small but indispensable, has contributed to the overall success. More than the number of tens of thousands of visitors, what remains in the heart of each visitor is the impression of a dynamic, modern, and unique Hai Phong.
And behind that success, there is still the image of the women of the Port City in the royal poinciana ao dai, their voices hoarse from the endless narration; the reporters with tired eyes but full of determination to send the news as quickly as possible. They are the silent people behind the exhibition booths, contributing to the radiant appearance of the Port City on the country's great festival day.
