Reporting at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thong Nhat, Director of the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam, said that the hospital currently has 910 employees, including 229 doctors.

Hospitals face difficulties such as lack of medicine, medical supplies, and equipment, affecting the quality of treatment and patient care.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the hospital organized 117,958 medical examinations, including 25,159 inpatients; bed occupancy rate reached 88.64%; emergency care for 16,778 patients. The hospital's second facility (Phu Thuan commune) currently ensures emergency care, examination and treatment in the area. The hospital focuses on international cooperation.

The hospital strives to implement hospital quality criteria; apply new techniques, innovative initiatives, and exceed medical examination and treatment targets. Invest in modern equipment; develop electronic medical records, and aim to build a smart hospital.

Hospital leaders recommend that the city and departments pay attention to directing and supporting investment in medical equipment to improve professional quality such as: operating room equipment in the departments: Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Urology - Digestion - Oriental Medicine; 1.5 Tesla MRI system; DSA system and specialized equipment, specific equipment. Recommend that the city pay attention to investing in the construction of embankments to prevent landslides on the hospital campus.

At the same time, it is recommended that the city approve the investment policy and support the synchronous implementation of the electronic medical record system at the hospital, ensuring the right progress and compliance with the provisions of Circular No. 13/2025/TT-BYT dated June 6, 2025 of the Ministry of Health on guidelines for implementing electronic medical records. Pay attention to approving the policy for implementing the Hospital Development Project for the period 2026-2030...

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi highly appreciated the efforts of the team of officers, doctors, and hospital staff in emergency care, examination and treatment. At the same time, she hoped that the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam would strive to become a satellite hospital, a high-quality hospital of Da Nang city in the future.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Hospital Board of Directors to receive comments from departments and branches, promptly complete documents and designs for investment items for operating room construction at the hospital, submit them to departments and branches for consideration, and advise the city leaders to direct the deployment and implementation.

Regarding the anti-erosion embankment project, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee said that he will soon report to the Chairman of the City People's Committee for direction and resolution. At the same time, he assigned the People's Committee of Dai Loc commune to coordinate with the Department of Health and related departments and branches to inspect, survey, and evaluate the current situation, propose specific solutions, and implement them soon to ensure safety for residents and hospitals.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Department of Health to develop a comprehensive project for the development of the health sector in the new period. The Department of Health will coordinate with the Department of Finance to synthesize and include the Hospital Development Project for the 2026-2030 period in the medium-term public investment plan.
