Lao Cai attracts investment after merger

After the merger of provinces and restructuring of local government apparatus, the investment environment in Lao Cai is having positive changes.

Specifically, in July 2025, the whole province granted new registration certificates to 115 enterprises and 33 affiliated units, an increase of 19.5% over the same period; total registered capital reached VND 862.7 billion.

Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade inspected the field and worked on the progress of site clearance at Phu Thinh Industrial Clusters 1, 2, 3 in Van Phu ward.

In the first 7 months of 2025, the whole province had 635 newly established enterprises and 92 affiliated units, an increase of 7.2% over the same period last year. The total registered capital in the first 7 months reached 4,123 billion VND. This is a positive signal in the context that many localities are being negatively affected by the global economic downturn and the trend of tightening investment.
