According to data from Vietnam Electricity (EVN), as of the afternoon of September 30, units under the Electricity Corporation in the North and Central regions have restored power supply to more than 2.67 million customers out of a total of 4.12 million customers in 16 provinces and cities whose power supply was interrupted due to the impact of storm No. 10 (reaching a rate of nearly 65%).

With the spirit of making the highest effort to urgently restore power supply to customers affected by the storm, up to now, the Northern Power Corporation and the Central Power Corporation have mobilized a total of about 2,400 people and many vehicles from the local Power unit and from many other units to focus on supporting incident handling and power restoration.

According to EVN, the impact of storm winds and continuous heavy rains has led to a number of incidents on the 500/220/110 kV high voltage grid system. Immediately after the storm winds reduced, operating units urgently mobilized vehicles and human resources to fix the incidents.

By the afternoon of September 30, units under the National Power Transmission Corporation and the Northern and Central Power Corporations had restored 8/15 incidents on the 500kV grid, restored 18/18 incidents on the 220kV grid and restored 60/70 incidents on the 110kV grid.

Hydropower plants under EVN (including Power Generation Corporations) in the areas affected by storm No. 10 still ensure safety of the works. As of 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 20 hydropower reservoirs were regulating spillway discharge.

At Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant, the maximum flow into the reservoir reached 6985 m3/s at 09:30 on September 30, and by 13:00 it had decreased to 5550 m3/s. Currently, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant is opening 8 deep discharge gates to ensure the safety of the project.

At Thac Ba Hydropower Plant, the maximum flow into the lake was 4,110 m3/s at 10:00 p.m. on September 29, and by 1:00 p.m. it had decreased to 2,820 m3/s. Currently, Thac Ba Hydropower Plant is opening 3 spillway gates.
