On September 24, information from the People's Committee of Hai Phong City said that the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025 is the first unique and typical traditional cultural event of Hai Phong City after the merger.

The festival commemorates the 725th death anniversary of National Hero Tran Hung Dao and the 583rd death anniversary of National Hero and World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai. This is also a cultural activity to celebrate the success of the 1st Hai Phong City Party Congress (term 2025 - 2030).
It is expected that the 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival will be held from October 1 to October 12 (ie from the 10th to the 21st of the 8th lunar month) with the largest scale ever. The ceremonial and festival activities have been upgraded but still ensure solemnity in accordance with traditional rituals. The Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee is the Head of the Festival Organizing Committee.
This year's festival will also feature activities honoring the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage. Through the activities at the festival, the city will introduce and promote tourism resources, promote tourism and trade; and orientate the construction of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Monuments Complex to become an international tourist area.
According to the Festival Organizing Committee, the focus of this year's festival will be on October 7 (August 16 of the Lunar calendar), including a series of activities: The 583rd death anniversary of World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai; The 725th death anniversary of National Hero Tran Hung Dao; The 2025 Autumn Festival of Con Son - Kiep Bac; The 2025 Autumn Festival, welcoming, propagating, and promoting the event of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site; The art program "Hai Phong - The Quintessence of Heritage Land" and the opening ceremony of the seal of Saint Tran.
The ceremonies and festival activities were upgraded in scale, standardizing the rituals worthy of the world heritage. In particular, at the Kiep Bac relic site, the festival space was expanded from the Kiep Bac temple gate to Luc Dau river. The art program was staged combining performing arts, singing, dancing, music, circus and 3D mapping-layer mapping visual arts... recreating the glorious feats of the Tran army and people, especially of the National Duke and Commander-in-Chief Hung Dao Dai Vuong on the land of Van Kiep. At the same time, propagandizing and promoting the outstanding global values of the 5 component relics of the World Heritage in the West of Hai Phong as well as the typical cultural values of the city.
This year's Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week has expanded its scale, organizing booths to display, introduce and promote culture, tourism, trade promotion, OCOP products, typical agricultural and handicraft products, traditional craft villages, and unique cuisine of localities inside and outside the city. During the cultural week, there will also be performances, promotions, and introductions to product manufacturing processes for visitors to experience; performances and exchanges of cultural and artistic activities, traditional folk arts to serve the people and visitors.
The city also built a program to introduce new tourism products with 3 themes: "A journey to 5 World Heritage destinations" experience tour, "Following the footsteps of the Three Patriarchs of Truc Lam" experience tour, "Discovering the Con Son and Kiep Bac Heritage" tour...
In addition, promoting the application of digital technology in festival promotion, making festivals not only cultural and religious events of the people, but also becoming typical tourism products, contributing to enhancing the position and cultural brand of Hai Phong in the new period.
