Le Minh Ngoc sings Van Ky's Song of Hope, praying for people affected by storms and floods

Le Minh Ngoc chose October 10, the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, to release the MV Song of Hope, opening a series of songs about Hanoi.

Initially, Le Minh Ngoc - champion of Sao Mai 2022 folk music, first prize winner of the National Chamber, Musical - Choir Singing Competition 2023 - planned to release another song to open the series, but in the end decided to choose the timeless song by musician Van Ky to make the first MV.

The artist wants to convey another message through this besides gratitude for Hanoi at this time.

Song of hope like a prayer

Le Minh Ngoc shared that these days, many Vietnamese people are heartbroken to see many provinces and cities across the country struggling to cope with severe floods. The murky water is sweeping away fields, roofs, and even dreams and plans that have just taken shape.

" The song of hope is like my prayer and sharing with the people and the lands that are suffering pain and loss due to floods.

"Hopefully the water will recede soon, dawn will return, the fields will be green again, and smiles will bloom on faces after so many hardships and difficulties caused by natural disasters," she said.

Le Minh Ngoc added that no matter what time it is, she believes that the spirit and will of the Vietnamese people will never die. That will always be the strength to help us overcome all hardships and difficulties and move towards the future.

As in the song by musician Van Ky, it ends with the line "Wind, rain, sadness, winter and clouds will disappear".

Series given to Hanoi

The MV Song of Hope was filmed at famous locations and monuments in Hanoi such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hanoi Flag Tower, Thang Long Imperial Citadel... during the autumn days in Hanoi.

Le Minh Ngoc appeared in a gentle silk ao dai, singing her feelings for the beloved capital.

Many famous artists have performed the above song, but the 9x singer still creates her own style thanks to her chamber voice that is not heavy on technique but emotional, bright, and passionate.

When listening, the audience still feels the heroic and hopeful quality that musician Van Ky conveyed through his compositions when he wrote.
