Cozy housewarming ceremony in Nhon Mai flood center (Nghe An)

On the afternoon of September 16, two families whose houses were destroyed by flash floods in the border communes of Nhon Mai (Nghe An) held a special housewarming ceremony. Local authorities and armed forces attended, presented gifts, and handed over houses to the residents.

They are the families of Mrs. Lo Thi Hieu, born in 1960 in Na Hy village and Mrs. Moong Thi Lan in Tham Tham village. Both families are in extremely difficult circumstances.

In the flash flood at the end of May 2025, the houses of Ms. Lo Thi Hieu and Ms. Moong Thi Lan were both severely affected and could not be lived in. Faced with the difficulties of the people, authorities at all levels joined hands to support and call for donations to build houses for the families.

To help households build houses, Comrade Lu Ngoc Tinh - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee directly directed the construction. By September 16, 2025, the houses were completed and handed over to the above 2 households with a total cost of 120 million VND per house.

People came to join in the fun

Of which, the Provincial Fatherland Front supported each household with 60 million VND; Ban Ve Hydropower Company supported 12 million VND; Nghe An Newspaper and PTTH connected with Vinh market traders to support 20 million VND; Nhon Mai Border Guard Station connected with Vietnam - Japan International Exchange Organization to support 30 million VND. The remaining amount came from the budget and other sources called for by Nhon Mai commune officials.

At the inauguration ceremony, representatives of the Party Committee and local authorities of Nhon Mai commune and Nhon Mai Border Guard Station presented gifts to households including refrigerators, solar lamps, rice and other necessities.
