The first leg of Group E of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers ended on October 9 with Malaysia dominating the top spot after 3 wins against Laos, Vietnam and Nepal. Vietnam is close behind Malaysia with 6 points after 2 wins and 1 loss. Laos has 3 points and is in third place while Nepal is at the bottom of the table with no points.

The Vietnamese team is determined to surpass Malaysia in the second leg of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

On September 14, the first match of the return leg will take place with the Vietnamese team facing Nepal at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) at 7:30 p.m., while in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian team will face the Lao team again at 10:00 p.m.

The next round of matches of the return leg of Group E will take place on November 18 when Nepal meets Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur (10 p.m.), and Laos meets Vietnam in Vientiane (7 p.m.).

Coach Kim Sang-sik is expected to help the Vietnamese team successfully reverse the situation in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
