On the evening of August 10, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team came from behind to defeat Thailand 3-2, despite losing two sets. This result helped coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team win a SEA V.League stage for the first time in history. Before that, the Thais had never lost the number 1 position in this playground.

With this historic victory, the Asian Volleyball Federation wrote an article praising the miracle of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

"Vietnam created a resounding comeback to stun defending champions Thailand, when the two teams met to decide the championship of the second stage of SEA V.League 2025 on the evening of August 10," the AVC homepage opened the article.

The article then continued to praise coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team: "In front of a stadium with more than 3,000 spectators, the home team stood up after losing 2 sets to defeat Thailand for the first time. It was also the first time they won the prestigious tournament in Southeast Asia.

This victory of Vietnam is truly magnificent and makes the fans happy. They have never won against Thailand at SEA Games or SEA V.League".

The Asian Volleyball Federation also praised individuals who played well and explosively, such as Bich Tuyen, Thanh Thuy, and Vi Thi Nhu Quynh.

This victory marks a historic milestone and helps the Vietnamese women's volleyball team aim for the SEA Games later this year.
