Ensuring balance between supply and demand of essential goods

(DN) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 119/KH-UBND on ensuring the balance of supply and demand of essential goods, serving the 2026 Lunar New Year and preventing natural disasters and epidemics in Dong Nai province. The plan will be implemented until the end of September 2026.

The plan aims to ensure the balance of supply and demand of goods, contributing to the implementation of social security work, especially in the last months of the year, holidays, Tet, natural disasters, epidemics (if any), meeting the needs of local people for essential goods.

Goods in the priority plan are domestically produced products, ensuring quality, food safety, reasonable prices, abundant supply, participating in balancing supply and demand and meeting the consumption needs of people in Dong Nai province, even in the event of market fluctuations.

The plan aims to promote network development and diversify types of points of sale to ensure essential goods are distributed to consumers conveniently and quickly; focus on developing points of sale in traditional markets, industrial parks, worker accommodation areas, remote areas in the province. Expand more product groups and points of sale associated with the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". At the same time, strengthen cooperation between provinces and cities in investment activities, trade connections, improve productivity, product quality, and expand markets.

Regarding the balance of supply and demand of essential goods, the plan is implemented for 11 groups of goods: rice, pork, poultry, eggs, seafood, vegetables and fruits, instant packaged foods, canned processed foods, spices, sauces, and cooking oil.
