Temporarily suspending the organization of the 725th death anniversary of National Hero Tran Hung Dao and the opening of the Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025, this is the direction of Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau at the meeting on October 7 on the organization of the Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025.
At this meeting, after listening to the reports of the Organizing Committee members and the opinions of the Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau directed that due to the unforeseen weather conditions, prolonged rain and flooding affecting many provinces and cities across the country, the Organizing Committee unanimously decided to temporarily suspend the above-mentioned Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Commemoration and Opening Ceremony.
As planned, the Memorial and Opening Ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. on October 7, in conjunction with the honoring of the Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son-Kiep Bac relic complex recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
The Organizing Committee will promptly notify all delegates and guests of the suspension of the event. At the same time, the Organizing Committee will develop a plan for the Memorial and Opening Ceremony based on changes, arising issues, and tasks that need to be done after the suspension of the event on the evening of October 7.
The Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025, taking place from October 1-12, is a major cultural-spiritual event of Hai Phong city after the merger of provincial-level administrative units.
This year, the scale of the festival has been raised and expanded with a series of attractive events, each day has 3-4 activities, creating a vibrant and attractive festival atmosphere.
The ceremonial space was extended to Luc Dau River, where the heroic feats of arms of the Tran Dynasty's army and people were marked.
Many activities were organized, including a special art program called "Hai Phong - The Quintessence of Heritage Land" which was elaborately staged, combining singing, dancing, music and modern 3D mapping projection technology.
During the Festival, the 9-day Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week introduces and promotes OCOP products, cuisine , traditional craft villages and new tours.
On this occasion, Hai Phong also launched new tourism products such as the tours "A journey to 5 world heritage destinations," "Following the footsteps of the Three Patriarchs of Truc Lam," "Discovering the Con Son-Kiep Bac heritage."
With a series of diverse activities on the largest scale ever, the Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025 will not only preserve and promote historical values, but also become a cultural product of international stature./.
