Selection of investors in special cases for the Long Thanh Airport Express Cargo Terminal Project

(DN) - The Ministry of Construction has approved project information and selected investors in the special case of the Project to invest in construction and business of express cargo terminal exploitation services at Long Thanh International Airport.

The Investment Project for construction and business operation of express cargo terminal at Long Thanh Airport has a scale of investment in construction of express cargo terminal with equipment system, auxiliary items and synchronous technical infrastructure serving production and business.

The designed capacity is about 100 thousand tons of cargo/year. The project has a total preliminary investment of about 203 billion VND. The project is deployed in area C-02 (over 5 hectares) in the Long Thanh Airport campus, with a construction investment period of 2 years 2025-2026. The project's exploitation period lasts from the completion of investment and putting into operation until December 31, 2050. The project is applied the form of selecting investors in special cases according to the provisions of law.

According to the Ministry of Construction , the project is being implemented to invest in the construction of an express cargo terminal and provide express cargo terminal exploitation services, meeting the exploitation requirements of Long Thanh Airport phase 1.

The Ministry of Construction also assigned the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to take full responsibility before the law and the Minister of Construction for the accuracy of information, data, capacity and experience records of the investor, project implementation methods, as well as the contents of the proposal evaluation report.

At the same time, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is responsible for explaining according to regulations. The implementation of the following procedures must comply with the Law on Bidding and related legal regulations; the signing and management of the implementation of contracts with investors must comply with regulations, ensuring the completion of the project safely, effectively, and in sync with other projects under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister .
