Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister, the young armed forces of Thai Nguyen province have been joining hands with the authorities and people of the highland communes to build solid houses for poor households and policy families. Not only contributing their efforts to build houses, the young soldiers also spread the spirit of sharing, strengthening the military-civilian relationship, contributing to stabilizing life and developing the economy and society in the particularly difficult areas.

Spread the movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister, with the call "Whoever has anything contributes, whoever has merit contributes, whoever has property contributes, whoever has a lot contributes a lot, whoever has a little contributes a little", the Military Command (CHQS) of Thai Nguyen province has widely deployed the movement "The Army joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".

Thanks to the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, the movement has spread strongly, clearly demonstrating the spirit of serving the people and sharing with the community.

In recent days, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command has mobilized officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Militia and Youth Union members in the northern communes of the province to actively participate in supporting poor households, policy families, and households with especially difficult circumstances in May Van village (Na Phac commune), Con Luong village (Nghien Loan commune)... to repair and build solid houses.

Each house built and repaired is not only a place to live and work, but also a spiritual support for people to have more determination and hope to escape poverty and stabilize their lives.

As one of the soldiers directly involved in supporting the construction of houses for the people, Private Au Dinh Manh, a soldier of Battalion 1, Infantry Regiment 750 (Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command), shared: I am very happy to be able to carry out the task of supporting the people in repairing and building new houses. Although the weather in the past few days has been erratic, the construction work has been difficult, but everyone is excited because they know that they are contributing to bringing a warm home to the people...

Comrade Tran Thi May, Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Na Phac Commune Youth Union, said: The emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has always received attention from the locality. The Na Phac Commune Government has coordinated with the Provincial Military Command and Regiment 750 to mobilize union members and youth to participate, contributing to helping people reduce difficulties, stabilize their lives and develop the economy.

Bringing joy to home

The family of Mr. Hau Van U, in May Van village (Na Phac commune), is one of the policy households approved to build a new house. Unable to hide his joy, Mr. U shared: Before, my family lived in a temporary, dilapidated house that was not safe during floods. Now, with the Party and State's financial support to build a house; the armed forces and local authorities joining hands to contribute labor, my family is very happy. Thank you to the Party, the State and the community for their care and help so that my family can have a new, sturdy house.

Young people of the armed forces of Thai Nguyen province contributed their efforts to repair the house of Mr. Ca Van Long's family in Con Luong village, Nghien Loan commune.

The joy of settling down has also come to Mr. Ca Van Long's family in Con Luong village, Nghien Loan commune, when his old house is being repaired. With support from the State, the family's savings, and the cooperation from the local government and social organizations, his family's dream of a solid home has become a reality. "From now on, my family can live in a more spacious house, and feel secure in living and working" - Mr. Long shared.

Senior Lieutenant Be Van Su, Assistant for Mass Mobilization of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command, said: The lives of people in border areas are still difficult. Therefore, we have advised and directed the Youth Unions at all levels of the Provincial Military Command to actively participate in the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. We are supporting labor, transporting materials, and leveling the ground for some policy families and households in especially difficult circumstances, contributing to speeding up progress and saving costs so that people can soon complete the construction and repair of their houses and stabilize their lives.

Officers and soldiers of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command supported the transportation of construction materials to help people demolish temporary and dilapidated houses.

According to statistics, out of a total of 4,979 temporary and dilapidated houses in 37 communes in the North of Thai Nguyen province, 2,718 houses have been supported by the State with funding for construction and repair, completed and put into use. The Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command has closely coordinated with local Party committees and authorities, mobilized resources, and organized forces to complete on schedule and hand over houses to the people.

This not only helps people settle down, but also contributes to building a solid foundation for the people's hearts, creating a foundation for socio-economic development in extremely difficult areas, towards the goal of "leaving no one behind".

As of July 22, 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command has sent 135 officers and soldiers along with the Militia and Self-Defense Force to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses for people in localities in the province. Of these, 29 households have started building new houses (including 17 policy families and 12 households in especially difficult circumstances).
