According to CNN Indonesia , in the "Land of Thousand Islands", Sumardji is a senior police officer of Indonesia with the rank of Commissioner. Sumardji started his football career in 2016. At that time, he was the coach of Bhayangkara FC, a team owned by the National Police. After the fight, Mr. Sumardji shared: “In fact, I jumped in to stop everyone but was beaten. The injury was not that serious, this is just part of the game. Instead of waiting for Thailand to apologize, I apologized to Thailand. I myself have learned many lessons from this incident.”
