According to a VNA correspondent in Cuba, leading the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam attending the event, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, presented a paper on "The New Development Era - The Era of the Vietnamese Nation's Rise: Some Theoretical and Practical Issues" - a great ideological topic, containing profound theoretical and practical depth.
At the seminar “Revolutionary theory facing challenges and neo-fascism”, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy emphasized that the Communist Party of Vietnam raised the issue of a new era of development - the era of national rise at the present time, stemming from the objective requirements of history, the law of movement of the nation and the times. Vietnam is entering an era of strong, prosperous development, under the leadership of the Communist Party, aiming to successfully build a socialist, democratic, strong, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam.
The top priority in the new era is to successfully implement the strategic goals by 2030, turning Vietnam into a developing country with modern industry and high average income, and by 2045 becoming a developed socialist country with high income.
The Third International Meeting of Political Theoretical Newspapers and Journals of Communist Parties and Left Movements adopted a Final Declaration expressing solidarity with the cause of the Palestinian, Venezuelan and Cuban peoples, victims of aggression, genocide and blockade. The Forum also agreed to establish an international network of critical and authoritative publications, which would serve as a political instrument and promote ideological unity, contributing to the education of new generations.
During the visit to the conference, Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy and the delegation had meetings with Comrade Roberto Morales Ojeda, Politburo member, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat and Head of the Central Organizing Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Comrade Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, Party Central Committee member, Head of the Ideological Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Comrade Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, National Coordinator of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution, Chairman of the Cuban Parliamentary Friendship Group with Vietnam and Comrade Noemí Rabaza Fernández, First Vice President of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
At the reception, Comrade Morales Ojeda thanked the Communist Party of Vietnam for supporting the campaign to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba friendship launched by the Vietnam Red Cross and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to raise funds to support the Cuban people. He reaffirmed the relationship between Cuba and Vietnam based on the historical foundation of brotherhood and solidarity, built by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh, connecting the two parties and peoples.
Comrade Morales Ojeda highly appreciated the political discussion of the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, saying that in the current context, publishing theoretical content from a Marxist perspective, adjusted to suit the times, is of outstanding importance.
For his part, Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy highly appreciated the significance of this International Meeting and considered it a strategy to address the challenges of the times through the media. He affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to continuing to strengthen relations with Cuba in politics and cooperation for the development of the two peoples.
On the occasion of attending the conference, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy and the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy and laid flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the park named after him in the capital city of Havana.
