High-ranking Cuban delegation visits Nestlé Bong Sen Factory: FDI enterprise model linked to local development

At the meeting, a representative of Nestlé Vietnam gave an overview of its nearly 30-year journey of investment and development in Vietnam, in which the Nestlé Bong Sen Factory in Hung Yen is a typical example of its commitment to long-term, sustainable and responsible investment in the locality.

Construction began in 2016 and officially began operations in 2017. The factory is currently a center for the production of modern, high-capacity instant nutritional products, applying a circular economic model and sustainable development, contributing significantly to the regional and national nutritional food supply chain.

Not only focusing on investing in modern technology and developing high-quality products, Nestlé Bong Sen also clearly demonstrates its commitment to promoting local socio -economic development. In addition to creating hundreds of indirect jobs for local workers, the factory currently has a team of more than 200 young, highly qualified employees who are always ready to learn and are given the conditions to develop and improve their international integration capacity.

In addition, with the philosophy of "Creating Shared Values", Nestlé Vietnam has made many positive contributions to the locality and has been recognized with many certificates of merit such as the Certificate of Merit for enterprises with outstanding achievements in paying the state budget awarded by the People's Committee of Hung Yen province in 2020, Certificate of Merit for achievements in Covid-19 prevention and control awarded by the Prime Minister in 2021, Certificate of Merit for exemplary taxpayers awarded by the Ministry of Finance in 2023.

At the meeting, President of the Cuban National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernández highly appreciated the modern development of the Nestlé Bong Sen factory as well as the young, dynamic and highly qualified workforce of the factory. Recognizing the model of connection between localities and foreign-invested enterprises, in the coming time, Cuba will expand many industrial zones, expand cooperation and promote foreign investment attraction with specific incentive mechanisms and policies.
