Warm sunshine in the North before long days of cold rain

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on January 9, the North will maintain warm sunshine. Fog may appear at night and early morning, and during the day the temperature will rise to 25-27 degrees Celsius, with sunshine.

The above situation will end today. Around the morning of January 10, a cold air mass will affect the Northeast region; then affect other places in the Northeast, most of the North Central region and the Northwest region.

At this time, the North and North Central regions turn cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature in the plains is generally 16-18 degrees Celsius, while in the mountainous areas of the North it is 13-15 degrees Celsius, and in some high mountainous areas it is below 10 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures in Hanoi are forecast to fluctuate between 16-20 degrees Celsius, down about 5-7 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day. At the same time, light rain will appear in the area. This situation will last until the end of the week.

Early morning of January 10, in the Gulf of Tonkin there was strong northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. Waves were 1.5-2.5m high, rough sea.

From the afternoon and night of January 10, the North East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) has northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, especially in the Northeast Sea area, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8. Waves are 2-4m high, and the sea is rough.

The western sea area of the southern East Sea (including the western sea area of Truong Sa archipelago) has strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7. Waves 2-3.5m high, rough sea.

The Standing Office of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control has issued an official dispatch requesting relevant local authorities to notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property.

- From Da Nang to Binh Thuan : Sunny day. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius, in the south some places above 24 degrees; highest 25-28 degrees Celsius, in the south 29-31 degrees Celsius.
