Reopening of Fangchenggang shipping route (China)

The international passenger transport route between the border area of ​​Fangchenggang (China) and Tien Yen (Vietnam) on the Dongxing - Mong Cai section was agreed upon and licensed by both sides from 2022, but due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has not been implemented yet.

The first restored passenger bus is on the international passenger transport route in the border area of ​​Fangchenggang (China) - Tien Yen (Vietnam) on the Dongxing - Mong Cai section through the Bac Luan II bridge border gate.

In the last months of 2024, the Road Transport Development Center of the Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Province (China) and the Department of Transport of Quang Ninh exchanged and coordinated to restore this transport route.

The two sides agreed to assign Dongxing Public Transport Company Limited (China) to operate passenger transport on the international passenger transport route in the border area of ​​Fangchenggang (China) - Tien Yen (Vietnam) on the Dongxing - Mong Cai section.

Passengers complete immigration procedures through Bac Luan II border gate, Mong Cai city.

On the first day of restoration, there was a passenger bus of Dong Hung Public Transport Company Limited carrying 13 people, including driver, interpreter and 11 passengers to Mong Cai City on the route.

The operating route (Vietnam side) of Mong Cai international border gate follows the route of Bac Luan II bridge area - Bac Luan II bridge approach road - Tran Nhan Tong - Hoa Binh Avenue - Hung Vuong street (not going through Ka Long bridge) - Mong Cai bus station and vice versa.

The first phase of operation frequency is 5 flights/day; departure time from Dong Hung (China) is 8am, 9am, 10am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm ( Hanoi time). Phase 2 will be based on the actual situation and passenger traffic to adjust accordingly.
