The draft "Project on Science Development and Application, Technology Transfer, and Promotion of Circular Economy in Agriculture for the 2023-2030 Period" sets the target that by 2030, 60% of crop by-products and 60% of waste from household and farm livestock will be treated; and 80% of rice by-products will be collected and reused.

At the workshop to contribute ideas to the "Project on Science Development and Application, Technology Transfer, Promoting Circular Economy in Agriculture for the 2023-2030 Period", organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on November 8 in Hanoi, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien said that agricultural waste and by-products are currently very large, more than 150,000 tons/year.

Accordingly, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development suggested that it is necessary to reduce the amount of waste and increase the rate of reused and recycled by-products. However, to build green agriculture and circular agriculture, it is necessary to promote research, application, technology transfer, technical advances, closed-chain production processes, and advanced agricultural management.
