Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2 (Lam Dong province), invested by Trung Nguyen Steel Company Limited, was proposed to be inspected for environmental protection compliance.

On August 30, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Lam Dong province said that it had sent a document requesting the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province to inspect the compliance with environmental protection laws of the investor of Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2.

According to the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Lam Dong province, through understanding the implementation of environmental protection work, the unit found that the investor of Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2 (invested by Trung Nguyen Steel Company Limited) has not complied with the provisions of the law on environmental protection, despite being regularly urged and guided by the authorities.

Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2 (Lam Dong Province) was proposed to be inspected for environmental protection compliance.

Specifically, the investor of Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2 has not yet installed an automatic, continuous wastewater monitoring station and connected and transmitted data directly to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province as prescribed.

The centralized wastewater treatment plant of Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2 has a phenomenon of wastewater treatment exceeding the capacity of the environmental license. However, up to now, the investor of this industrial park has not yet increased the capacity of the plant and carried out environmental license procedures as prescribed.

The Management Board of Lam Dong Province's Industrial Parks requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect the compliance with environmental protection laws of the investor of Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2 to take measures to handle the situation according to regulations.
