The area from South Quang Tri to Hue and along the South Central Coast has had moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. Some places recorded high rainfall: Phong Dien (Hue) 102mm, Nui Thanh ( Da Nang ) 74mm, Cua Viet (Quang Tri) 64mm.

Meteorological experts say the rainy area is gradually moving down to the South Central and Southern regions, due to the strong activity of the northern edge of the tropical convergence zone. In the next few days, the weather in the Southern region is likely to change to a period of more rain and strong thunderstorms in the evening.

From October 11: End of high tide

On the afternoon of October 9, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the tide level in the Southeast coastal area is at its highest level since the beginning of October.

Since early morning of October 9, Vung Tau monitoring station has measured the tide level at 4.05m - higher than the average of many years and considered the strongest high tide of the month.

Forecast for the next 24 hours : Water levels along the Southeast coast continue to remain high, possibly reaching 4.1 - 4.15m at Vung Tau station, especially from 2 to 6 am and from 3 to 7 pm.

Forecast for the next 24-48 hours : From tomorrow night, October 10, the high tide level will begin to gradually decrease, fluctuating only 4-4.1m but still at the threshold of causing slight flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and estuaries. "This high tide will end on October 11," the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said.
