One person died, suspected of being attacked by a wild elephant in Dak Wil commune, Lam Dong.

On the morning of October 19, the leader of the People's Committee of Dak Wil commune (Lam Dong) said that the unit is coordinating with functional forces to investigate the case of a 66-year-old man who died in the forest, suspected of being attacked by a wild elephant.

According to initial information, on the morning of October 18, search forces discovered the body of Mr. MVT (66 years old, residing in Dak Wil commune) in the mixed wood forest area of ​​Sub-region 854, Dak Wil commune. At the scene, authorities discovered unusual bruises on the victim's body, fallen trees in the surrounding area, and footprints suspected to be those of wild elephants.

Also according to the People's Committee of Dak Wil commune, recently, local people have seen wild elephants appearing near residential areas many times and have reported it to the authorities.

Regarding the incident, according to the family's report, Mr. MVT went into the forest to pick bamboo shoots on October 16 but did not return overnight. Suspecting something was wrong, Mr. T's family reported to the local authorities for help in finding Mr. T. After the authorities organized a search and tracing, on the morning of October 18, Mr. T's body was found at the edge of the forest.

Currently, local authorities and police are verifying and clarifying the cause of the incident.
