Currently, the center is assigned to manage 43 relic sites, with 22 relic sites displaying and exhibiting many artifacts; of which 12 artifacts/sets of artifacts (with 38 individual artifacts) are recognized as National Treasures.

The protection of relics is always focused on with a modern and suitable security and surveillance system; the protection and preservation of artifacts meet scientific standards and ensure the purpose of promoting heritage values.

However, nowadays there are more and more factors and risks that can affect and damage historical monuments and artifacts.

These risks come from many causes such as the impact of severe weather, the risk of fire or explosion or natural degradation over time, especially unintentional and intentional human impacts.
