The Northern Delta and Midland Hydrometeorological Station said that at 7:00 a.m. on September 12, the water level of the Red River, in Long Bien District (Hanoi) was at 11.20 m, 30 cm below alert level 3. It is forecasted that the Red River level will decrease today. Specifically, at 1:00 p.m. it was at 11.10 m (10 cm lower than at 7:00 a.m.); at 7:00 p.m. it was at 10.90 m (30 cm lower than at 7:00 a.m.).

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 6:00 a.m. on September 12, the water level on the Red River in Yen Bai was 0.41 m below alert level 3, and in Phu Tho it was about 0.08 m below alert level 1. It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the flood on the Red River in Yen Bai will continue to drop to alert level 2 and in the next 12-24 hours, continue to drop to alert level 1.

Water levels in many other rivers are also showing signs of decreasing. The water level of the Duong River, Long Bien District, at 7:00 a.m. on September 12 was 10.56 m, 44 cm below the level 3 flood warning. It is forecasted at 1:00 p.m. to be 10.45 m (down 10 cm from 7:00 a.m.); at 7:00 p.m. to be 10.25 m (down 31 cm from 7:00 a.m.).

The water level on the Lo River in Tuyen Quang is falling and is 0.93m above alert level 3, and in Vu Quang ( Phu Tho ) it is 0.44m above alert level 3. This afternoon, the river water is forecast to fall below alert level 3.

On the Da River, in Ba Vi district, the water level is decreasing. At 7 p.m. on September 11, the Hanoi City Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue ordered the level 1 flood warning to be lifted in Ba Vi district.
