My Dinh upgraded the stadium, replaced the entire grass surface

TPO - My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi) is undergoing a comprehensive renovation, from the foundation to replacing the entire grass surface. This is considered an important preparation step to improve the quality of the stadium, meeting the requirements of international tournaments in the coming time.

Since being put into use in 2003 (serving the 22nd SEA Games), after many years of operation, the old grass layer and degraded ground have now been removed. This is a drastic step to completely overcome the problem of field quality.

Not only the grass surface was replaced, the foundation items were also completely redone. This was to ensure good drainage and create an international standard field surface.

The foundation is under construction.

Bulldozers level and smooth the new sand layer. This is an important step to create a solid, even foundation.

The drainage system has also been renewed. The irrigation system has also been completely re-installed, a modern system of world standards. This is a key factor to maintain the quality of the grass and serve the matches well.

My Dinh Stadium is being comprehensively renovated with a total cost of about 10 billion VND from the state budget. This amount will be allocated in two phases: the first phase of 8 billion VND will be used to renovate the ground, including digging and renewing the entire ground, expected to be completed by the end of this year.

And the second installment, worth VND2 billion, will be dedicated to laying new grass.

The renovation of My Dinh Stadium is not only a simple technical project but also an investment in the future of Vietnamese football. Hopefully, with this comprehensive change, My Dinh Stadium will soon return with a new, modern look, ready to welcome major tournaments and become the pride of Vietnamese sports .
