At the event, child singer Ha Thuy Tien (born 2018, Hanoi ) opened the performance with the song Tien Quan Ca.
The lyrics: "The Vietnamese army marches, united in saving the nation, their footsteps echo on the long, bumpy road" resonated, moving millions of spectators to silence.
Appearing next to her was singer My Tam with the song Proud Melody, creating an inspirational combination, spreading a strong patriotic spirit, bringing sacred emotions to many audiences.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, My Tam said, Ha Thuy Tien is a very bold, cute girl, sings very naturally and has artistic potential.
"From the first rehearsal to the official performance, the baby has matured and Tam sees that the baby is very well-behaved and confident," the female singer shared.
Uyen Chi - General Choreographer of the event - said that while watching a performance, she saw that little Thuy Tien had an innocent smile and charming dimples, so even though she is not the hottest child artist on social networks, Thuy Tien was chosen because of her honesty and innocence.
"I chose her because she has a very happy smile. I want her happiness to represent the happiness of Vietnamese people in peacetime, in the era of growth. Her smile is pure, unarranged, and everyone likes it.
With her clear voice, Thuy Tien seems to convey the audience's emotions more fully when they believe in tomorrow, in the young generation," Uyen Chi said.
Mr. Ha Van Bao - Thuy Tien's father - said that she has learned to dance since she was little and is studying at an art center, so she is quite bold and confident.
The program's choreographer contacted the family to invite the child to participate in the performance at Ba Dinh Square after a careful selection process, requiring a clear voice, an innocent and naive face and expression appropriate to the child's age.
"When I learned that I was chosen to perform an important part in the art performance at the celebration, I was happy but also quite worried. My family encouraged me, saying that this was a sacred and proud task, so I put aside my nervousness to seriously practice and perform," said Mr. Bao.

When asked, after her child completed her task excellently, did the family reward Ha Thuy Tien with anything?
Mr. Bao said: "When my child finished his task, my wife and I took him to buy a toy that he liked and was suitable for his age. He was still young so he was very innocent, getting new things was fun!"
